OSI-Baltimore Summer 2020 Newsletter

Instead of releasing its quarterly newsletters as booklets like usual, OSI-Baltimore wanted us to come up with a new format that was more compact and eye-catching. I designed two prototypes with sample content I put together. One was laid out as a folded poster, the other an accordion fold brochure—which OSI-Baltimore decided would be the new format for its Summer 2020 newsletter. Since this format required concise copy, I provided the approximate word count in each story panel for OSI-Baltimore to write the content. The initial design featured a collage on the cover and a more spread out interior.

The final design used the main photo on the cover by itself as requested by OSI-Baltimore—which made the newsletter even more relevant and striking. A week before the newsletter was set to go into production, the layout and the content also had to be updated to feature OSI-Baltimore’s response to recent news.
